Where Do I Fit on the Cascade Hills Worship Team?
Use the checklists below to help you identify which team best matches your current skills and
readiness. Each team is a step in your worship growth journey — it’s okay to start where you
are and grow from there!
WEEKEND WORSHIP TEAM
(54th & Uptown Campus Services)
Instrumentalists:
- I can confidently play in time with a click track.
- I am fluent in the Nashville Number System.
- I know my major scales and can play them cleanly.
- I can learn parts from a recording and show up fully prepared.
- I do not need a chord chart on stage.
- I own and bring my own instrument in good working condition.
- I can adjust my in-ear monitor mix for live performance.
- I’m ready to train and mentor others when needed.
Lead Vocalists:
- I can sing out and be bold!
- I can sing accurate harmonies and blend with others.
- I can stay on pitch while singing to a click track.
- I move confidently and engage the congregation while leading.
- I do not rely on vocal notes during the set.
- I understand vocal control, dynamics, and phrasing.
- I am comfortable receiving and applying vocal feedback.
Background Vocalists (BGVs):
- I can sing tight harmonies and blend with others well.
- I know my part (alto, tenor, etc.) and can lock in vocally.
- I understand vocal dynamics and how to support the lead.
- I can sing confidently to a click and stay locked in rhythmically.
- I can follow stage direction and adapt to musical changes.
- I am committed to excellence even when not in the spotlight.
Choir Members:
- I can sing confidently in a group and match pitch.
- I know my vocal range and can follow a vocal leader.
- I can memorize lyrics and blend with the choir, not overpower.
- I have a joyful, expressive stage presence that draws others in.
- I can commit to serving at least once a month and attend rehearsals.
Stage Presence & Professionalism:
- I am confident, expressive, and intentional in worship.
- I wear modest, platform-appropriate clothing.
- I’m available to serve twice a month, including rehearsals and team nights.
- I am fully coachable, reliable, and spiritually mature.
LIVYA
(Young Adults Ministry)
Instrumentalists:
- I can play with a click track, even if I’m still improving on it.
- I am learning or familiar with the Nashville Number System.
- I know my basic scales and chord shapes.
- I bring my own instrument and arrive prepared to play.
- I’m open to shadowing and receiving feedback.
Vocalists:
- I can sing in tune and follow basic harmony lines.
- I am comfortable worshiping publicly and am working on my confidence.
- I’m eager to grow in vocal control and presence.
- I can sing without relying heavily on lyric sheets.
Stage Presence & Professionalism:
- I participate fully in rehearsals and team nights.
- I’m working on my confidence and movement while leading.
- I’m willing to learn from leaders and serve consistently.
- I can commit to serving at least twice a month
LIVYTH
(Youth Worship Team)
Instrumentalists:
- I’m learning to follow a click track with some help.
- I’m beginning to understand the Nashville Number System.
- I can play basic parts and am open to coaching.
- I bring my own instrument and want to improve.
Vocalists:
- I can stay on pitch and am learning to sing with others.
- I’m working on blending, confidence, and learning harmonies.
- I can learn and memorize lyrics with some practice.
Stage Presence & Professionalism:
- I smile and enjoy being on stage!
- I’m open to feedback and growth.
- I can attend rehearsals and serve twice a month.
- I’m willing to shadow LivYA in my final year of high school.
KIDS PRAISE TEAM
Vocalists:
- I love worship and am excited to sing for Jesus!
- I can learn motions and remember lyrics.
- I smile, sing loud, and lead with joy.
Stage Presence:
- I’m happy to attend kids rehearsals.
- I’m respectful, teachable, and excited to serve.
- I’ll grow through each level, eventually moving into youth worship.
