Receive Jesus
Beginning your relationship with God
Becoming a Christian is the most important decision you will ever make. The Bible teaches that we are all sinners and that our sin separates us from God:
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
But God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to take the punishment for our sin. Jesus willingly died on the cross and rose again, making forgiveness and eternal life possible for everyone who places their faith in Him.
Salvation cannot be earned by attending church, doing good things, or trying to become a better person. It is a gift from God that we receive through faith.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Ephesians 2:8
Receiving Jesus means acknowledging that you are a sinner in need of a Savior, believing that Jesus died and rose again for you, and placing your faith in Him as the Lord of your life. The Bible promises:
“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13
If you are ready to receive Jesus, you can begin by praying a simple prayer like this:
Dear God, I ask You to forgive my sin. I believe that Your Son, Jesus, died on the cross so that I could be forgiven and rose again on the third day so that I could have eternal life. I put my faith in Jesus Christ and receive Him into my heart as my Lord and Savior. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer and received Jesus, we would love to hear from you! Let us know about your decision so we can celebrate with you and help you take your next step in your relationship with Christ.
